I feel like the commit exposed an existing issue which we hadn't noticed
before, that we can define `available_apps` to remove installed apps,
which can make the middleware invalid
So to me, it doesn't feel like a release blocker.
We can still backport to 5.2 as we can backport bug fixes prior to the
beta release. If a user encounters a problem with 5.2, we can treat this
as a release blocker
