Every now and then the question for a really easy installer pops up again (not only related to Django), and every time i fail to see the importance.
If you are using a framework the actual installation makes up an infinite small portion of the entire development process.. Who cares wheter you spend a day setting it up for a machine, it only needs to be done once.. Moreover in practice everyone needs a differnt setup, not everyone uses all db's/middlewares/web-servers/python version etc etc.. So while i agree an installer would be nice i think the resources needed to create such an installer would be better spend on other things, such as the new forms implementation and model-inheritance ;) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Django users" group.
