Exactly, I try to be as RESTful as I can in my current projects and DQS can be a perfect example of what can be done in this way. Another interesting thing could be a concrete example (like using DQS instead of send_mass_mail or something like that). I can help on the REST part (at least for advices, my todo-list is... well, is.) if you need.
