hey all! well i appreciate you guys givin yer oppinions and all but i can't help but feel that none of you really know what yer talkin about. before you get the wrong idea i'll give you some background info....... i happen to be 19 and currently serving as a United States Marine. i, like most of you, used to party every weekend and almost never missed d spin. but i decided it was time to grow up a little. so here i am. don get me wrong though, i still do my fair share of ravin. i jus can't get fucked up like i did before. but anyways, i am currently on a 6 to 9 month deployment to bagram afghanistan. it's a small air base north of kabul. and for the record i would be willing to bet that none of you have ever even came close to a combat envirement before. so none of you really know what it's like to stare death in the face every single day, hear bombs goin off at any givin time, havin to watch every step you take in fear of land mine littered fields, and i know for a fact that you don know what it's like to go without a hot meal for over a week. and that's jus naming the stuff that happens to me and my fellow devil dogs. that's not even coming close to what we do to those rag head peices of afghani shit. i guess what i'm tryin to say is that war is something that most adults can't even fathom when they try. so i don think we have a problem with our kids. kids are too innocent to understand war. i'm positive that gi joes are ok for kids and i think we should use it to pull a blanket over their eyes. half the stuff that goes on over here i can't even tell my mom, sister or girlfren. they jus wouldn't understand. gi joes are toys and nothin more. i don see why people always try and make a big ass deal about nothin.
