I have had a similar problem a while ago. I got help here for which I am thankful.
I set milterdkim_enable="YES" milterdkim_socket="inet:[EMAIL PROTECTED]"in /etc/rc.conf (FreeBSD) and that (besides editing the conf file) did the trick for me.
