Yes, I know about about the packages. However, I need to fiddle with it because it's going to be installed on systems where the package is not available. :) Therefore I need to do a compile-from-scratch and roll my own. I've also been informed that the main developer of this at Sendmail left, and there doesn't seem to be anyone there currently developing it.
