Since AOL's switch to "reject" it has become a hot topic in the
moderator help lists for Yahoo Groups. Not that there's a lot we
moderators can do about it other than inform our list members about
what's going on.
We can block posting by members with AOL addresses, but most
moderators see that as too draconian. Fortunately Yahoo Groups' bounce
handling doesn't cause unsubscription, and takes a while before it
causes suspension. So there hasn't really been a firestorm of upset
members. Yet.
There's a lot of confusion and rumor about why messages are landing in
Spam folders or not being received. I'm trying to dispel that by
carrying over what I learn here.
This is an interesting observation. Do you mean Yahoo groups suffer from
the DMARC p=reject policy of AOL and AOL groups suffer from the DMARC
p=reject policy of Yahoo!? If so, members of the DMARC initiative create
problems for one another, which might help to get more attention for
this problem from the TBTI ESP's.
