I've got a Nova which I bought pretty much when they came out...

I just upgraded it to OS4 and it's fine... Don't know about the Supernovas
but I don't think there'd be a problem.. If I remember rightly there are
different OS's for the Supernova and Supernova II though..

Subject: [dnb-prod] Novation Supernovas

Hello,

Just a quick question to get some pre sale advice...
I've been thinking about getting a second hand Novation Nova or a Supernova
(or Supernova 2 if i can find one under 550, ha).
I need to know if all the Novation synths can be upgraded using MIDI files
from their website to the latest OS and Sounds as and when they arrive. If
so then all I have to do is buy an original Supernova for 500 and get the
latest OS whenever i want the update - seems a bit easy to me, surely theres
a catch and the models from 1998 won't upgrade so easily as say the ones
from last year. Have the physical designs changed much?

Any solid advice?

Cheers

Dan
