Will,
You
want the Midi Out from your keyboard to go to your Midi In on your SB
Live.
Then a
lead from your Midi Out on the SB Live to the Midi In on your 2x2 box.
Then 2
leads going from the 2 Midi Outs of the 2x2 to the Midi In ports on the
Virus and the Emu (one each).
I
assume your SB Live isn't 32 part Multi timbral (single, not twin Midi Outs)
otherwise you wouldn't need the 2x2, so you will still only have 16 channels
split between the Virus and the Emu, so you might have been able to just use the
Midi thru on one of them to relay to the other.
Still
its cleaner to use a splitter like the 2x2 rather than use Midi Thru function,
which people seem to find a bit less reliable.
I
think this is right, but feel free to correct me anyone,
Cheers
Dan

Subject: [dnb-prod] USB MIDI Question.
At present I have the Midi in from my controller keyboard going to the in on my SB live platinum. the out from the card goes to In A on the USB midisport. then teh emu is connect to out A and teh virus to out B. IS THIS SET UP RIGHT?
OR does MIDI information go down the USB cable?
I need the IN & OUT of the Virus to be connected at all times ideally so I can use Soundiver.
Is there another way to set up the controller keyboard so I can play & Record sounds on the EMu and Virus, and have the virus connected permanantly for soundiver. I just cant get my head round it.
Easy,
Will
