I've
never used Logic but doesn't it depend on what kind of midi device you want to
record from?
If you
want to mixdown a VST instrument in Cubase you can do it directly because the
audio signal is created in software, but if you want to record from an external
device or a device that's built into your soundcard you'll probably need to
fiddle with the soundcard's recording mixer settings and record the wav in an
external editor like Sound Forge...
