I actually sorted it out, it was me being a bit simple and not selecting the record input correctly on the SBLive mixer...doh...

Subject: [dnb-prod] RE: Logic Audio Again...

Hi James,

I've never used Logic but doesn't it depend on what kind of midi device you want to record from?

If you want to mixdown a VST instrument in Cubase you can do it directly because the audio signal is created in software, but if you want to record from an external device or a device that's built into your soundcard you'll probably need to fiddle with the soundcard's recording mixer settings and record the wav in an external editor like Sound Forge...

Sorry I can't be of more help...

Nick

Subject: [dnb-prod] Logic Audio Again...

Does anyone know how to route midi into an audio track to record down to audio...

Basically, I have programmed a drum loop in midi in Logic and want to record to audio so I can use plugins on it. In Cubase you simply select an audio track and hit record - but this isn't working in Logic...Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks in advance...
