easy phil, how's it going? cheers for the advice, and yeah, if u can send over the relevant app that would be great. although... i have almost finished rebuilding the track!! luckily i still had the sampler files, so i guess that's half the work...

yep, image fm still going strong. tonight 10-12 for the usual nu-skool / breakstep bonanza! (anyone who's in london - 99.7fm!) plus got an EP coming out on subfunk - test presses due monday with any luck.

ah! just as i was beginning to lose hope...

how does this easy recovery thing work - is it long? i had a look at the powerquest website and they have 'easy restore' - is that the same thing? i searched for the tmp file, but i guess it's not as easy as that...

>>>> way it usually works is when files are deleted they arent really deleted, just marked as not there in the directory and when new files are written the space used by the file may be over-written and the file lost for good. until then you can get undelete programs to scan for deleted files and try and recover them. but it is very important you use your pc as little as possible in the meantime. should only take a few minutes to scan.
>>>> undelete programs usually unpack to a floppy so they dont damage any files when they're run.
>>>> i had a similar problems a while back and still 3 or 4 programs that should do the trick. let me know if you want any mailing to you. are you using win9x/me with fat32?

>>>> hows things anyway mate? you still doing image fm and all that? havent been able to pick it up my way for a while...

You can use powerquest easy recovery as a last resort to find an older saved version also everytime you same cubase creates a .tmp file with the same name (eg song.all becomes song.tmp. These can also be recovered by ER and renamed.
