Cheers,

Had a look at a site with details of the MPC2000,,, looks like the business!  Certainly seems to be the one for the job and more.

Cheers

Im really keen on the Akai2000 for hardware sequencing, especially live. The interaction with interface is such that it can make you look busy, like your makin music and adds a little stage presence.
Its wicked nice for putting drum loops together too, the pads are very intuitive for this.

The Yamaha RM1x can now be picked up new for around 350. It is great as far as live sequencers go, 16 assignable knobs plus nearly all functions assignable to any midi source. I sequence all my traxs using this.

There is a newer version, but if you have sampler etc, then save your money and grab this bit of kit. IT WILL DO EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT.

Peace

Subject: [dnb-prod] RE: Hardware sequencers

Hi all,

Up until now I have used software exclusively (apart from an outboard compressor) I'm trying to put together a hardware system to play out live.  Does anyone have any recommendations for a hardware sequencer that could run a few bits of gear reliably,,, say an A-station, sampler, supernova etc.

Any recommendation would be most welcome.

Cheers
