Subject: [dnb-prod] event 20/20's vs. behringer truths

i'm looking at some decent monitors, and my budget's $300-$400, so i'm
considering the event 20/20's or the behringer truths. the tannoy reveals
only go down to 62Hz, while the 20/20's and truths hit 50, so the tannoys
are out. i was wondering if any of you guys have had experience with one or
both of these models, and what you thought. a friend of mine has the
20/20's, and i'm very impressed with them, but some people swear by the
truths... so if any of you have experience with these two models, how do
they do in the long run? have you noticed any tendencies (harsh high end,
weak bass after a while)? any help would be greatly appreciated, i'm gonna
A/B them at the store, but that time-tested experiences would help too.

thanks,

Overall Im pretty content with my powered 20/20s. I've had them since 99,
and before that I had some K-Roks which although supposedly are better
monitors, I really wasn't the happiest with them. I'd recommend them , but
see my post prior, because they are a little misleading in the low-end, but
overall sound worth the money, although.. Even though they are more budget,
have you looked at the Monitors Ones? very inexpensive ($250) but if you can
mix on those, you can mix on anything. They definitly lack the color to
mislead you. Very flat and if your mix sounds good on them, your in good
shape..
