howdy
got a new track online. when i was making the tune i had
an idea of what sort of vocal line i wanted for it, searched through LOADS
of songs with the words 'for your love' in the title in the hope of finding
something vaguely similar to what i had in mind. i eventually found pretty
much exactly what i had in mind, but unfortunately couldn't find an acapella
so i had to filter up the vocals as best i could.
also, there was an extra phrase in this song that i kinda
liked, and as luck would have it, fits perfectly. problem is i've had to
chipmunk it to get the pitch right. stretching it doesn't cut it.
so question one is : do the vocals sound out of place /
wrong / crap ?
and question two is: have i overdone the bass
again?
and just for good measure: how does the mix sound
overall?
i have my own ideas about the answers to these questions
but i'd like to hear what you lot think.
cheers amigos
keep it frosty,
mattrick
