Mattrick ... just got a chance to listen to this. Man your shit is really coming along. My only comments would be back off a bit on the bass stab that's got a lot of reverb on it ... the "trance" element of it is a bit much, maybe. Think Optical with it. Warp/twist/filter it a bit, and get it to sit a little more seamlessly in the mix. The kick drums are maybe a bit loud/bassy/prominent for my taste. They keep it from rolling quite as well as it could.
Last thing, re: chipmunk vocal. I think one of the things that separates the elite producers from those that just get stuff released and forgotten about is one element: if something's not quite right, don't use it. In this case, look at it like this. The chipmunk vocal may be ok for some people, but how good would it be if it were sung correctly? That single element would elevate the tune to ON POINT. This is really really good man ... don't compromise with it. Send it to a label, get em to pay the 100 or whatever so you can get a proper vocal recorded, and get this out. It's fucking dope. Nice one. By far your best to date, imo. b ===== Brian J. Haag [EMAIL PROTECTED] __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
