I have been on Mp3.com for about 5 years now. they have never turned down an
opportunity to supress my music. Along with what you mentioned here, they
brought up a whole lot of other policies to keep new music off the charts. I
broke #1 on the jungle charts a few weeks ago and quickly enough my site
went offline while everyone else was up, bringing my stats back down then my
site went back up after I drifted off the charts.I have had this happen any
time my hits go up in some form or other. I used to be on the site when they
paid everyone for plays, now they charge you 20$ per month to make a penny
for each play. The summary is you get screwed at the end of the month, and
their favorite artists make the real money. They have all kinds of policies
about free use of your music even after you quit the account, so read all of
the agreements carefully, and avoid their "new and great" promotions,
because they're all shady. I said to heck with it all and kept the no-pay
option and now they do nothing to help me, I am giving my music away for
free at least I can sell CDs from there and stream audio [even though they
confuse most downloaders with ads]. It used to be good, but now Mp3.Com is a
wasteland ......Thats my 2c..................>Winterman
