$1795 for an a/d converter? that seems a bit steep... a $350 "flying cow" (damn i feel stupid calling it that, but that's the model number) will have to do for now. on paper, 96kHz is "Better," but c'mon... is it really worth almost 2 grand? if we're used to vinyl with all its crackles and pops and cd's 44.1kHz is "professional," even 48kHz is considered unnecessary... i don't mean to discourage it or anything, if i had the money to blow on something like that i would and i'd have a grin on my face knowing that my sound was as perfect as possible... but we're talking about an a/d converter for $1795. i'd get a virus c with that money. mmm, tasty :)

Its a shame it only supports 44khz and 48khz. Are there any <$1500 digital mixers that do 96khz? Computers equipped with 96khz soundcards like the Hammerfall or Hammerfall DSP can mix at 96khz.. but then you need a nice set of analog ins like this nice thing http://www.rme-audio.com/english/adi/adi96.htm. I suppose for all that you'd have to pay quite a ton - but the analog ins on the ADI96 are probably a lot better than the ones on the Behringer. And we're talking 96khz. trey --- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
