If you didn't connect it then that's what would happen (at least it did on my mate's system).. -----Original Message----- From: Daniel Norman [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 08 April 2002 16:42 To: Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List Subject: [dnb-prod] RE: CDRW Hi Ta for the advice about the drive, the old drive worked fine so all the old connectors should be cool. I have got SCSI cos i put a card in for the sampler, but this seems to be less well documented and more expensive than just using the old connections so mightnt bother. The best thing the internal modem did was mess up Cool Edit Pro to the extent that if i wanted to sample audio from a CD, there was no way it would let me hear the CD playing but i could record it as a wav. I could see the counter going and see the levels but no sound. However the recorded wav then played fine - what the f*ck? It also screwed up all the settings in Acid, Soundforge and Cool Edit where they would default to completely the wrong input/output settings for the soundcard everytime i opened them - its coming out tonight and going in the bin...
