A diminished chord will always be flat fifths...

well, notewise.... F Dim = F Ab B (but since you can't name the chord that
way, it would be Cb ... DOH!!) really. that's one of the RARE cases where
you would use Cb but remember it's just the B note.

F Dim = F Ab Cb

the 12 notes are:
A
A#/Bb
B (Cb)
C
C#/Db
D
D#/Eb
E
F
F#/Gb
G
G#/Ab

so just do the formula

Diminished chord = 1 b3 b5

weird stuff eh?!?!?!

don't EVEN get me started on the double flats....
