i have a sharp md-722 that i use for outdoor sampling, and it's great. remember to plug into the "mic" in, which'll have a +20db boost, and you're gonna need a cheap-o radio shack mic that has a 1/8th inch plug at the end... one day i'd like to use a nice mic and perhaps get a portable mic preamp, but those are insanely expensive. don't worry about what some people might say about minidisc compression, it's better than 256kbps mp3's, which sounds great. stay out of the wind, and close your eyes when you're sampling... you'd be amazed at how much ambient noise is around you. good luck.

Since I can't bring my sampler with me, I'll be using a minidisc recorder: is this a good idea? I'll need a microphone to plug it to the MD recorder, but honestly I don't have clue what kind of mic I should buy. Got any sugestions? --- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
