Yeah SB live is notorious for IRQ problems, especially mixing up with your AGP video card if you have one. You most likely have ACPI running, which is required to do all the snazzy IRQ sharing and handling in your OS, you can disable that though, making your system put each card on it's IRQ or sharing minimally. Go into system/hardware devices/computer, and search for ACPI compliant something or another, should be right under computer. Go in there and choose update driver, and choose display a list of known drivers. Then search for "Standard PC" and load the sucker up. You will most likely have to load up all of your drivers for the cards again when you restart so have those ready, but this might fix your problem, works for a lot of audio related pc problems. You WON'T have standby or any other power functions anymore after this, so be aware. Hope it helps
