yeah, with the advancements towards the merging of software and hardware and their interweaving relationships of functions, it's only logical to use both.
for example... orbital does all of their set live using hardware, but it's all pre-programmed and recorded in software sequencers and played back into hardware sequencers to record it for a live show and made live-friendly via the hardware sequencers. peaz.
