USB is 1.5 MEGABITS (not megabytes or MB) per second. 1.5 megabytes / 8 = megabytes (which is in fact 0.1875 MB/sec) =)
This is why you only see 2x (or MAYBE 4x) USB 1.x burners =\ 2.0 is 450 megabits.
