I had a korg trinity do that for a while once in another studio, it was
actually just a bad ground with the wall outlet wiring. I tryed another
outlet and it was fine. Try plugging it into a different outlet and test
that. If it's not that and this just came on suddenly, I'm guessing that the
circuitry in your mixer got shorted out, maybe power hitting the metal case
on the mixer etc.

'S wierd coz my mixer came with a 2 pin plug (in the UK) (which is
illegal!)..

It worked fine though with no hum... So I figure it's unlikely to be caused
by the actual mains adapter (although it could be something else plugged
into the circuit like a fridge or some other device)...

Maybe try plugging it all into a different mains supply to see what
happens...

you most likely have a "ground loop" some how... im not really surewhat this
is or how to solve but...

i dont think i would not keep the decks grounded, you could get some nasty
popping if you get a build up of different charges somewhere...

make sure that your mixer is grounded properly, does its plu have 2 or three
prongs? if only 2, are the prongs keyed? ie the larger prong on the left?

Right, i got this hum (sounds like a main's hum) coming from my speakers
when using my decks n' mixer. However, if i take the grounds out of the
mixer the hum goes away. I've tried different power supplies etc but the hum
only goes when the grounds arn't connected to the mixer. So, do you have to

ground the decks - or can i just let them hang free...?

Any advice would be nice...
