Scope@Streetbeats STREETBEATS: SB023 > Blue > Despised and Lowdown gets released through SRD over the next two weeks. This release see's Blue return to his trademark Drum and bass sound with emotional lush strings poured over filtered breaks cut to perfection. PI: Following on from Blues latest outing on Streetbeats, Pi003 will sse the debut of new act FILTER. Hailing from south London this four piece act are a force to be reckoned with and have been busy in the studio writing a collection of underground yet club friendly beats. Pi003 > Filter > Psychic / Defiance is out on promo this week. NOIR: A major new release schedule is planned for this label. We can't give away too many details right now, but expect the same no comprimise policy always associated with NOIR. Z-NO: Having already scored the soundtrack to a short film by Robert Morgan entitled "The Cat With Hands", screened on Channel Four earlier this year, Z-no are lined up to commence work on the latest project from thsi talented director. Due to the success of "The Cat With Hands", Rob has been commissioned by S4C to produce his new animation called "The Separation", a grizzly seven minute short featuring a pair of disturbed siamese twins. The soundtrack planned will be sonic violence of the most extreme kind, and will also tie in with work on the third Z-no album, currently untitled. Meanwhile, in parallel, Z-no are currently finalising a a mini cd album featuring rare cuts and live grooves. Titled Z-no(whore), the album will be released in limited quantities through z-no.co.uk later this year. The industrial cinematics of Z-no(TV) (described by the Vinyl network as 'VERY exciting') is almost completed, and so will be on sale from the Z-no website soon. SUBVERSIVE SOCIETY: The Streetbeats hip hop outfit is making good progress on their debut album, after the success of the tracks featuring on Knowledge Magazine's December cover CD. WEBSITES: Development of the new websites are alsmost complete - watch this space. They have been completely redesigned and consolidated by Rob and the crew at Protean Productions, creators of many fine sites including ToV/Hardware, GAIN, Architecture and ATM Magazine.
