1.8 GHZ Intel P4 850 mother board withh 512 Rambu RAM, PC maudio 410 on its
own reserved IRQ, and it runs great!

I found some info on optimization and I'm tring it and I haven't pushed it
too much yet its good so far. Other advice was not loading your system with
crap programs that you don't use and disabling USB if you don't need it for
recording as well as limiting other hardware system usage not neccesary for
recording. There was a hard disk logging thing i dissabled and also these
system.ini edits that were suggested that i'm tring.

ConservativeSwapfileUsage=1
[vcache]
MinFileCache=16384
MaxFileCache=16384

The small file cache is supposed to be for seriously limiting buffering so
that it goes right to disk rather than holding in memory for better
performance. I may try increasing it if this does not hold true yet I'm
still working on testing. If anyone knows good tweeks or corrections to
those mentioned please post them.

PCs are just little bitches, you just have to slap them arround a bit more
than macs to get them working better, in my opinion.

I can't wait to get a better build of cubase sx. Mine has faults with
erroring on the dongle crack when moving midi notes on the graph and such
prevents proper use for me. It seems a dream to mix effects and controller
data with the multi effect chanel for each track for drawing and editing
controller/effect data. Can't wait to wire digital 5.1 in my studio and
edit the cubase tracks in surrond with in cubase.

Not dissing MACS at all, just saying I'm a PC fan and user and its working
better every day.
