I started using Buzz coming off of Impulse Tracker. I didn't really like
Fruity Loops and I couldn't quite figure out Reason or Cubase or anything
else. So, coming from a tracker background, I usually work with samples. So
a lot of the machines are samplers. The only other machines I used were the
synth sounds like the one at the beginning and various drum fill stuff like
hi hats and maybe a snare or somethin. Oh and I used a lot of machines for
effects. I'll admit that Buzz feels a bit overcomplicated with all its
screens for tweaking machines and all but if you have the patience for it it
works damn well. One thing I really like is the ability to record and
automate various controls on machines.

BUT to tell you the truth, after I figured out the idea behind routing
sounds through various machines and mixers everything clicked for me. I
opened up Cubase and Reason and it all made sense all of a sudden. So I left
Buzz for those two programs.
