I've been thinking a lot about compression recently coz I only ever seem to get good results when I use unorthodox settings.. (eg. Max Threshold, max ratio)..
I was playing around last night though and I did manage to actually compress a break without killing it! (A first for me!) So all I can say is that it's all a matter of experimentation... I agree with Brian though in that those kind of basslines are normally pretty undynamic and as such can be compressed quite a bit.. They also seem to sit quite quietly in the mix compared to the heavier dancefloor stuff.. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 31 July 2002 16:13 To: Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List Subject: [dnb-prod] Re: Liquid bass >> First, compress like crazy.
