Because you've over compressed the drums it's hard to tell what's really going on (even through the Genelec 1031s I'm borrowing). The synth/bass stab smothers everything a bit too much as well. The main lead synth sound is a good idea, but the sound is too "screachy" for my tastes and sounds like a bad sample. The piano is ok though. Ever thought of running a synth pad through the song, just to give it some stereo width. I wouldn't rely on a mastering engineer to rescue the drums, you should always try and achieve the best recording you can and then have it mastered.
Thanks for posting it anyway, give me something to listen to whilst I sort out my fooked up sound card. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert Caponi" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, August 26, 2002 9:22 PM Subject: [dnb-prod] Feedback needed > OK, this is a track from my 2cd album.
