I just picked me up one of these lappiez....... An ECS Desknote i-buddie 4 It's a P4 1.8Ghz, 256MB DDR RAM, 20GB HDD, 15" Flat panel screen, DVD, Firewire, USB 2.........its got everything except PCMCIA.... All for $1000NZ cheaper than anything similar on the market...
Did I mention its CPU, RAM, and HDD are upgradable with standard PC hardware??? Look no further than http://www.desknote.biz/ And if a P4 is not what you're after, the i-Buddie XP takes the newest AMD processors.
