I found these when I was thinking about doing the same thing a while ago. You won't believe the size of these, it basically houses a complete computer in the size of a portable cd player.... incredible.

Totally rocks. You can max it out to 1 gig of DDR ram, and having a p4 2.2 running at desktop speeds is crucial. I can only stress looking into these before you pay 3 times as much for a TiBook with one quarter of the performance. I almost did, but after looking at them head to head it was clear witch choice was better. Oh and the firewire on them works great, I got one hooked up to a Motu 828 with ASIO running and a USB midi interface with no problems. check it www.desknote.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jurgen Baute" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, August 29, 2002 12:36 PM Subject: [dnb-prod] Re: Portable for production (too) > > upgradable with standard pc hardware? > sounds phat! > > ------------------------ > On 29 Aug 2002 at 10:21, Vex wrote: > > > I just picked me up one of these lappiez.......
