Check the bit rate you edited the samples in SF is the same as in Cubase (ie. if you edited at 32bit in SF make sure you're working at 32bit in Cubase).
If you've chopped up samples and there's small gaps in between, try timestretching each a little (by 1 or 2%) the bpm shouldn't change but the samples should match.

ive edited some samples in sound forge 6 and they sound excellent but when i take them into cubase, the tempo and pitch is totally different. the sample doesnt sound like how it did on soundforge. also when i put the sample in one after another in the arrangement i get pauses in between.

any ideas of how to over come this..veritas
