Yeah,
it's definately the sample rate. Your file is probably at 22khz or some
such, while cubase is set to play back files at 44.1khz. Rather than
setting Cubase to run at 22khz (i really, really doubt this is what you want to
do), you'll want to convert the sample rate of your soundfiles to 44.1. I
dont use soundforge, but all decent audio editors have a "convert sample rate"
option somewhere. Convert your file to 44.1, save it, and all will fine
once you load it up in Cubase.

Subject: [dnb-prod] RE: sound forge and cubase conflictIT's probably the sample rate of the samples..You need to set Cubase to run at the same sample rate that the waves are recorded at...If you've got SX then you just go to the Project menu and choose Project Settings..You should be able to see the sample rate somewhere in SF. .. Maybe in the properties box on the File menu..Nick--------Original Message-----

Subject: [dnb-prod] sound forge and cubase conflictive edited some samples in sound forge 6 and they sound excellent but when i take them into cubase, the tempo and pitch is totally different. the sample doesnt sound like how it did on soundforge. also when i put the sample in one after another in the arrangement i get pauses in between.
