exactly, seeing as the reason that you would want to put mp3s of your songs up on their site is so that that will distrubute them, i dont understand why some people get so worked up over it. if you are looking to make cash with music, run away screaming from drum'n'bass ... if you want to get heard, the free exposure that mp3.com gives (while not amazing) is pretty good considering what you pay for it.

Furthermore, the amount of pure crap there is on the site pretty much

approaching indie labels instead...
