Dan PS - Does anyone else get writers block? I used to be able to write tunes I liked, but I have been getting fed up of everything i write recently - no cure really, but its a pain in tha a*s
Seriously tho, I suggest taking a break from producing. Take a month off and listen to different genres for ideas. Use the time to sample new material, mix records, or organize your sample library. When you start to feel the urge again, try different methods of writing - start by writing a melody, bass line, experiment with sound design/fx, try working with exotic scales / chords...etc. etc.
