Hi, I do the same and load all my sounds in to a sampler but find sometimes the natural quality is lost so I thought perhaps a drum module as it actually produces the sounds would work much better?! Someone mentioned Dillinja used the Alesis drum modules,

Hi

Not sure about drum modules as i just use my sampler and load in the sounds i want that are stored on my PC hard disk (ripped from cds, or sampled from vinyl etc), but Alesis D4s are only about 100-150 s/h (check the Sound on Sound Reader Adverts if you live in UK and make a deal with someone). One of my mates has a D4 and has never complained about it, so seem ok.

Thanks Daniel, but I already have an Akai sampler - I suppose I just want to
use a drum module for percussion instruments. What drum module do you know
is highly reccommended as I have no idea where to start?
Rick.
