Yeah the SW1000 has got a 3.5mm jack for stereo input which is a bit of a pain - it doesn't crackle or sound particularly bad it just looks a bit unprofessional if you know what I mean. The Kenton Plugstation replaces the outputs on the soundcard though so you get fairly decent output/noise levels plus digital output.
