if you care, event/echo are real bastards about linux support, they wont even let volenteers have enough information to write drivers themselves, which means their cards remain unsupported. pretty lame way to treat your customers if you ask me. i was one, i bought a gina a long time ago and its now useless to me as they wont update the driver for windows 2000 or XP *or* let the linux community write a driver for it. stupid. on the other hand, m-audio is awsome with linux support, all their cards that i've looked into are well supported on linux.

food for thought.

If you are looking for a sound card of that spec I highly reccomend a 2nd
hand echo gina.

It's only got 8 outs as opposed to 10 but a better all round product IMO
