At the moment, I would probably stay away from these power-saving processors. If I'm buying a new laptop, I always choose the fastest processor at the expense of battery power... You can always conserve power on a fast machine... Linux *will* work on the Centrino processor, but I would still prefer to have the full power of a p4. I've never tried running the FS on a Centrino laptop, but it'll probably work. You might want to check stanton's website. My laptop of choice right now is a pimped-out Thinkpad T30 -- p4 2.4GHz and 1GB of RAM. It has a nice display (1400x1050) and it's rock-solid. I accidentally dropped it about 3' onto CONCRETE in the RAIN and it's still kicking major ass... -Chris > > a. > > --- > Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk > You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] > --- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
