I think, re-considering how feeds between peers works, I got an explanation

site ME
groups xxxxxx -> What I accept from him

site a_feed
groups yyyyyy -> What I send to him

Thinking twice, it's obvious, becouse the host "a_feed", if it has *
in its feed for _me_ has no way to know that I want only
somehierarchy.* and nothing else, until I politely e-mail him
"please, reduce my feed",

Stupid me, I owe myself a beer :-)

Done with that, now for the problem of _sucking_ :

The manual says that sucked groups may be precised in two places :

- in dnews.conf :

nntp_feeder suck.feed.net comp.one.group,comp.another.group\
                              comp.a.third.group

- in newsfeed.conf

site $nntp_feeder
     groups comp.*

My understanding is : I suck those 3 groups and _only them_, but
users (more generally : the Dnews process) are allowed to post to the
entire hierarchy.

Is it right ?

Thanks,
