Yes it is correct...I just substituted news.mydomain.com while posting to
the list for security reasons...The forward arnd reverse DNS are also
correct for the hostname.

Yes, your dnews.conf myname setting is not valid.  The name there should
resolve to a valid ip number.
You could try using your ip number instead if a name doesn't work.
