No articles prior to the installation.

Hello,

I've installed dnews v. 5.5a7 on March 4, 2001 on a linux box. My
question is, why is it that I can't suck articles 4 months old, let's
say November-2000 to March-2001? What I have is from March 4 2001
onwards. I have tried this command; tellnews getold "*" 1000, to no
avail.  I have also set 'suck_maxold 10000' in my dnews.conf, to no
avail still. I'm out of ways already, please help.
