Hi Everyone,

I recently changed the support for 4 statistics services we run to DNews.
First of all I have to say I love it. What currently happens is that each
service has it's own news group for feedback, help and suggestions. These
are simple e-mail addresses e.g. [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Now. These e-mail addresses are automatically checked by newsgroups such as
statsnet.com.counted.feedback and the newsgroups are password protected. The
cool thing is that in Agent for example you can set that each reply you do
also goes to a special e-mail address. For the above group, each reply
anyone of the support team makes goes to the sender (with reply to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]) and [EMAIL PROTECTED] Therefor we have all the
support e-mails anyone sends within the same group, ordered, threaded,
everything. Cheapest and most efficient support system I have found yet.

But there is one problem. [EMAIL PROTECTED] and all the other e-mail
addresses are of course listed on the web sites. And hence, they are
spammed. I could of course look into filtering the spam out before it even
arrives but this is risky because we need to make sure that every support
e-mail arrives, no matter how strangly it is formated.

To remove the spam, up till now, I have to use something like tellnews,
which is ok, but is kind of a painful process. Possibly I could just create
files with the ids of the posts to remove, but this isn't the most
imaginative system either.

Now I wanted to ask all of you what you are doing to reduce/remove spam from
your news groups.

What I would love to have is a client that will let me remove the specific
message within the client and have it automatically removed on the server
too. Does something like this exist?

Thanks for the info,

Looking forward to your feedback.
