That sounds like the auto spam detector, if you look in dnews.log you
should find
an explanation of the problem and the setting you need to change to fix
it. Basically
you need to set in dnews.conf
spam_npost 10000
to stop this from blocking you and issue the command
tellnews reload
if that doesn't solve the problem send me the log next time the problem occurs.
