No, the best thing you can do is replace the disk before it dies which
is relatively likely although there is always a possibility it's the controller
or something else is wrong.  I would copy a few hundred mb of data around
on that disk manually to check if it works or not as a quick test.
Or if you can find a disk test utility that is non destructive that would
be even better.  Best of luck.
