from it. Now this server is gone, do I need to tell DNews that this is a
local group only now? I have deleted the old feed (these are local only
groups BTW) but the general.discussion is still receiving posts on my new
server (which is what I want). Just wanted to make sure that I don't have
to let DNews know that this is a local group only. Also, where can I see
the amount of posts being posted daily to these local groups? I know the
status screen will show me how many posts are going out to OTHER
systems/feed, but what about for local-only groups?

No you don't really need to do anything now the old system is gone.

There isn't really a good tellnews command for posts per group, you could
use
    loguse true
and
the 'duse' utility to analyze the daily log files that creates, or you
could just search or grep post.rec to find out basic facts about local
posts.
