For a certain amount of gropus I have to post to a server with a username
and password. I tried this in newsfeeds.conf :
site $sitename <username> <password>
groups <list of groups>
onlyposts
posting
builtin
But I get a 441-response from the server (as though the username/password
isn't used).
The username/password combination works, I tried it by using telnet
(simulating a NNTP session). On the upstream site, I have to use 'mode
reader' before I can issue the 'authinfo'-commands and post-command.
Is is possible that Dnews doesn't issue this 'mode reader' command when
doing a 'posting' feed?
