You do this by adding a feed similar to the following in newsfeeds.conf site $nntp_feeder type builtin posting groups * exclude upstream.site.path The exclude setting should contain a portion of the 'path:' header from the upstream site to ensure dnews does not try and post messages back to the server they originated from.
