I would guess it is a feature of Agent. Have you changed to a new version recently? If dnews is seeing the quit message, then it will close the connection to the client... this is the correct behaviour. It would appear Agent is incorrectly reporting the socket being closed as an error. This error may have always been present and is simply more noticeable on XP. I wouldn't consider it something you need to be concerned about unless dnews is not working properly. You will most likely see this behaviour on other servers as well. - Roydon L.
